TERM 4 BEGINS
We are all looking forward to life returning to "normal" and for us that means being able to be with our students again to help them learn and grow.
Teachers are working together to plan what we will need to be doing for our students on their return. Focussing on their wellbeing and social and emotional health will be important as we know that confident, happy students have greater success in their learning.
We will also be spending much time assessing the learning needs of all students and planning programs to assist them. Whilst we understand some of the concerns that many parents will have it is important we allow teachers time to assess, plan and build relationships with their students again. Teachers will be constructing student reports for parents based on DET recommendations.
Online learning will cease for students once their grade is expected to return to school.
Things will look very different up until the end of the year. Our usual end of year activities will be reviewed to follow guidelines.
BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING!
Ask your self - Are my children safe, healthy and loved. These are the most important things.
BORROWED IT DEVICES
When students return to school, please also return any devices that you borrowed to assist with online learning.
These will be essential for students work at school this term.
COVID -19
As many changes occur during the course of the week, we will keep you informed regarding the effects on our school.
Currently we are still following the same guidelines we did last term.
Schools will begin their staggered return to face-to-face learning on Monday 18 October, one week earlier than initially planned.
Students will now return to face-to-face learning with NSW Health approved COVID-safe settings on the following dates:
- From 18 October – Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 12
- From 25 October – Year 2, 6 and 11
- From 1 November – Year 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10
As the school plans its return for students based on these guidelines it will be important that we follow them as closely as possible.
We are grateful for the support shown to us by the community and, as usual, we will keep you informed of any changes. We will send further information to families later this week.
NOT LONG TO GO NOW!
