Dear Strings Parents,
The week of auditions have arrived, we hope you and your child(ren) have enjoyed the Music Program so far. With the Industrial Action occurring on Tuesday, we will be in touch with rescheduling auditions. I’d like to thank parents for re- enrolling students and registering new students by the due date. On that note, String registrations is closed for 2022 intake.
On Sunday, Concert Strings, Concert Band, Senior Strings and Senior Band students performed in a Mini Concert and amazed everyone with their ability to perform music pieces that they only learnt to play that day. It was a lovely to see the students perform in their music uniform for what has been a tumultuous year. Thank you Mr Mansukhani and Mr Walmsley for their efforts throughout the year, we are fortunate to have such dedicated and inspiring Music Directors.
Please note that there are no ensemble sessions this week due to auditions. Auditions will be held in the Music Room and details of times have been sent by their Ensemble Coordinator.
Please ensure the students are aware of their audition times and are prepared with their scales and pieces as this will assist Mr Mansukhani and ensures everything runs on time.

If your child is returning to Strings in 2022, they will keep the instrument they have been using this year.
All hired String instruments belonging to students leaving the school, or NOT continuing with Strings must be returned to the music room at the latest on the Wednesday 8th December before school bell from 830am to 855am.
If you are handing back an instrument, please ensure the case is labelled with your child’s name on it. Please ensure instrument is returned with all accessories except for shoulder rests and Roisin.
Instruments that require repairs will be withheld to be fixed and those students will be informed as to when they are able to pick up their instrument before school breaks up for the year.
If your child does not pick up their hired instrument by the 16th December, it will be stored securely over the school holidays. We will let you know details for collection of these instruments at the start of next term.
