OFFICIAL HALL OPENING

The hall will have its official opening on 22 February. Whilst the hall is a valuable asset, it is certainly not large enough to hold everyone for this event. Primary students and special guests will be present on the day. We are also planning some special celebrations for our students on that day.

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS IN THE  SCHOOL LIBRARY

Please remember these interviews are a time for sharing information about your child with this year's teacher. It is an opportunity for you to get to know your child's new teacher.

It is not a time to get an academic report as the teacher will have just begun to get to know their class.

Please be on time for your interview as we are unable to extend the time.

Band parents, please check Newsflash weekly for the latest news, we will publish advance dates as soon as we know them to help you plan your year!

Are you new to the school in 2019 and interested in joining band? (Years 3 to 6)

Our band program runs by school year, so if your child is interested in joining band in 2019 and has not already registered for band, please contact band@artarmonpandc.org.au as soon as possible. Any student in Years 3 to 6 can join band, as a beginner or on a band instrument you already play.

Band Parents, we need you!

Every year there are many roles to fill and the band can only operate if all families help out throughout the year. If you are able to take on a role on the organising committee we’d love to hear from you now at band@artarmonpandc.org.au - Vacant roles include:  Co-Convener, Festivals Coordinator, Band Intensive Coordinator, Easter Breakfast Concert Coordinator, Band Camp Coordinator(s), End of Year Concert Coordinator. Many of these roles are not very time consuming and can be done in your own time to fit in around work and family commitments. Perhaps you can find a friend and share a role?

 Thank you to those who turned up to the information night last week.

 All crucial information is attached to the school website, (link below), so refer back to that if you’ve lost your original document. Scroll down to the bottom of the website page and open the Strings Information Pack 2019 document.

Ensemble rehearsals:

        Training Strings:       Tuesdays lunchtime, starts in Term 2

        Junior Strings:          7:45-8:45am Tuesdays, middle level S block

        Concert Strings:       7:45-8:45 Thursdays, middle level S block

        Senior Strings:         3-4pm Tuesdays, music room

        Orchestra:               8-8:50am Wednesdays, music room

All students should have been allocated an ensemble by now.

Orchestra: A notice went out for those who wish to join the Orchestra. Please complete the form that was emailed to you.

Tuition:

Lessons started this week. You should have been contacted by your tutor. If not, send us a message.

Fees:

Invoices will be issued once all students have settled and committed to their tutorial lessons and ensembles.
