PRESENTATION DAY ASSEMBLIES
Our end of year presentation days are coming up on the 12th and 13th of December. Parents of students receiving an award will be sent an invitation by email this afternoon. Due to capacity in the hall and to ensure our visitors fit comfortably, invitations will include a RSVP link. Students in Years 1-6 will be capped at two guests per child and Kindergarten will be 4 guests.
Keeping the award a secret... We know that you are all so proud of your children and what they have been able to achieve this year and so are we. If you receive an email inviting your family to one of our presentation day awards, it might be a wonderful surprise to hold this information until the day.... Just a sugestion.
Please know that we realise lots of families would like to come and support the school regardless of who is receiving an award and we value this community engagement. However, I am sure as a community you know the reason we need to cap the visitor attendance and we thank you for your understanding.
UNIFORM
As we come into the last couple of weeks of term, please remember that our full school uniform should be worn at all times. We understand that the weather has been changing, however, please know that we value having students in their full uniform every day, as this helps bring a sense of connection and pride to our school community.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AMAZING COMPETITION WINNERS
WILLOUGHBY COUNCIL WRITING COMPETITION
Willoughby Council coordinates a writing competition for all year 5 students in the area. The criteria includes researching, illustrating and creating an interesting story about fauna in the local area.
This year the topic was about the plight of The Little Forest Bat a small marsupial clinging to existence in our developing urban environment.
Year five students diligently worked on creating engaging stories that were factually correct and would highlight the reasons we should be concerned about the welfare of this tiny native animal.
Student winners were selected for their ability to write, or illustrate, or write and illustrate, a story about the Little Forest Bat. It was a rich learning experience for all year five students, entries were of a very high standard when submitted to the competition.
