IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS
PHONE OUTAGE
Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding as our phone lines have been out of action. The team from Telstra are managing our issue and we will continue to keep you updated through the SZapp.
The main phone line has been diverted to a mobile for the interim, however, please be patient if we are unable to answer. The best form of contact is via the school email address or the contact us tab on the SZapp and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
THANK YOU MORNING TEA
It was an honour and privilege to welcome and host so many of our parents and community members who volunteer their time for the benefit of our students last Thursday at our Thank You morning tea. I know there are so many more volunteers and amazing members of our community who couldn't make it, however, please know and accept our APPRECIATION and THANKS for everything you do for our school and students. You are all amazing humans and it is what you do that brings us together as a community and allows us to thrive.
The delicious morning tea was provided by the staff as a sign of appreciation and I know they value the time to be able to pop down and thank you in person as they truly understand the difference a community makes to a school.
CAROLS
Unfortunately I was unable to attend our annual Carols night this year due to family commitments and by the look of the below gallery, I missed out on quite a night. It is always an amazing night where our community come together to relax toward the end of the year and celebrate the holiday season. A huge thank you must go to Matthew and Adrian for being able to pull this many students together to play everything they do. An outstanding achievement!
To our choir teachers and choir students, you all did a fantastic job getting the entire community to sing along and relax into the evening.
To our P&C, who yet again volunteered their time, energy and effort to plan, organise and execute all the food, drinks and stalls to help everyone enjoy their evening. WHAT A COMMUNITY!
The below gallery is courtesy of one of our professional photographers and Year 6 parent, Keith from Sumptuous Tonality. Thank you Keith for you taking these amazing photos for our community and school.
Keith has provided the following link, if you would like to download any of the photos for your own memories.

CLASSROOM MOVEMENT
There will start to be some classroom movement over the next few days to allow us to start to get prepared for 2023. If your child's classroom moves, please know that pick up and drop off locations will remain the same for the remainder of the year.
As always, if you need to collect your child from school, please come to the office first and they will direct you where to go if your child's classroom has moved.
STAFFING
Mrs Tully will be finishing up on Friday this week to take some time to relax and put her feet up before the birth of her first child. Mrs Tully, the whole school community wish you and your husband absolute joy and happiness during this very exciting time and we all can not wait to meet Baby Tully in 2023!
Congratulations to Mr Wood who has accepted a Relieving Assistant Principal Position at Rose Bay Public School for 2023. This is wonderful news for Mr Wood and we all wish him the best for his new adventure.
Congratulations to Ms Kirkpatrick and Ms Bonnett who have been offered permanent classroom teacher positions at Artarmon PS through Merit Selection.
ACADEMIC REPORTS
Teachers have been working hard to complete individual academic reports to be sent home to all families on the 16th December. These reports outline areas of achievement and areas your child is working towards. When reading these with your children, be proud of their achievements and celebrate their success as a family. Reports will be sent home via email. Please ensure you download and save these somewhere safe.

Our 2023 Presentation Days will be held on Monday and Tuesday 12/13th December. NOT RETURNING OR RETURNING LATE IN 2023?
NOT RETURNING OR RETURNING LATE IN 2023?
The first day of school for most students next year will be Tuesday 31st January, 2023. Year 5 OC students will begin on Wednesday 1st February, 2023 and new Kindergarten students will book their Best Start interview date before their first official day on Monday 6th February 2023.
It is vital that we know if your child/children will NOT be returning to Artarmon or will be returning late next year. Some families take extended holidays in January/ February and we need to know your return date so that your enrolment can be counted. This information will enable the school to plan for staffing and classing needs.
This note does not apply to Year 6 students.
Please click here to fill in the form if your child is not returning or returning late in 2023.
2022 has been a very busy year with reading and borrowing books from Artarmon Public School Library.
Please check your bookcases, cupboards, tote trays, inside your car and under your bed, for any books belonging to APS Library. All library books need to be returned by Wednesday 14 December.
Your assistance in returning your books promptly will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
