What a great week for parents and teachers.
We have all been looking forward to children returning to school and whilst it is currently only once a week it is good news for us all.
It has been such a joy seeing children back in classes and in the playground. Hopefully it will gradually increase. We await further direction from the Department.
We had put some guidelines in place to keep our adults safe in this Covid environment.
Drop and Go were the words I used in my message and parents have done exactly that.
Thank you for following the guidelines and please continue to do so until further notice.
The hygiene supplies are in place around the school and the extra cleaning has started.
As I said earlier this week , this is the toughest of times as we are almost to the end of restricitions. As the Premier and medical health professionals have said, we can't afford to relax too quickly and we need to keep following all the health and safety procedures.
I am sure we are already planning the big parties we will have at the end of all this.
Thanks again for all your support. It is much appreciated.
Dont forget:

PARENTS AND CARERS TOOLKIT
To support the hard working mothers, father, carers and guardians that support us all, the Department has created an 'essentials' toolkit, available online or to download as a PDF.
The 17-page PDF toolkit features self-care tips, handy lists, wellbeing articles and leading Australian and international parenting resources. From top parenting podcasts and apps to books and websites, our 'essentials' toolkit aims to give parents and carers a head start and support throughout the school holidays and beyond.
RELIGION AND ETHICS CLASSES AT ARTARMON PUBLIC SCHOOL
Due to our current arrangements, religion and ethics classes will not be available until schools resume normal operations (phase 4).
Following discussions with the Special Religious Education (SRE) and Special Education in Ethics (SEE) approved providers on the Consultative Committee for SRE and SEE, approved providers will deliver their authorised curriculum with modifications to enable students to learn from home this term.
From the commencement of second term, there will be five live portal entry points to lesson content:

Dear Strings Parents,
It is exciting to see children returning to school one day a week this week and I have received queries about music rehearsals. Please note that all music rehearsals, whether it is with the tutor or group lessons or the ensemble rehearsals, these will all continue to be online until further notice.
With the return to school on Wednesday, Training strings students that are unable to attend their morning rehearsals are to attend the Thursday 3-3.30pm cello and bass session instead.
If your instrument is out of tune, do not forget to have a look at these informative videos to help with string instruments. These videos will assist with how to tune and take care of the violin. These have been most helpful to ensure the violin is in tune during practice. Please watch with your child. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOP1ht4mHt0bLr-boSTZ9ig/featured
