THANK YOU
Covid 19 has had an impact on families around the world and guidelines for NSW Public Schools are regularly changing in order to keep us all safe.
I would like to thank everyone for their patience during these difficult times and acknowledge the work done by our staff to keep as much routine as possible for our students.
Whenever we make a change, it usually involves refunds. The office staff at Artarmon are amazing people and are doing their best to get money back to families as quickly as possible. I thank them for their efforts and in return, they would also like to thank our community for their patience as well.
CHANGES TO SPORT ORGANISATION
We have had to make some changes to our sport organisation due to Departmental guidelines.
PSSA Sport is cancelled for the rest of 2020.
There will be some changes to school sport for Yrs 3-6. These will be communicated to students and families later in the week and will begin from next week.
Any refunds due will be calculated and money will be refunded over the next few weeks.
CHANGES TO MUSIC ORGANISATION
We have had to make some changes to our music program organisation due to Departmental guidelines.
Children playing brass and woodwind instruments will continue with their individual tutorials but will be unable to play in the large groups. They will still attend their group rehearsals and Mr Walmsley will organise alternate music activities.
String and Guitar Ensemble organisation remains the same.
COVID HEALTH CONTROLS
Artarmon Public School will be vigilant when implementing infection control, physical distancing and personal hygiene protocols to protect the health and safety of students and staff. We will promote the need to follow good hygiene practices such as:
- regularly washing hands
- avoiding sharing drinks or food
- coughing or sneezing into your elbow, or a tissue which should be discarded immediately
- filling water bottles from bubblers rather than using the bubbler directly.
