End of Term 3

Dear Parents/Carer,

We have now reached the last band news of term 3.

Congratulation to all Artarmon School Music children who has done fantastic job in completing their music tasks for this term. From waking up early morning for rehearsals to giving up lunch time for tutorials and more rehearsals. Major highlights for this term were, when the 320 music children went away for two days camp at Collaroy, recording at Fox Studio and performed for the celebration of Art at Concourse Chatswood.

THANK YOU, Mr Walmsley and Mr Mansukhani, for your endless dedication to the Artarmon School music program.

THANK YOU, Ellen Hird for your three years commitment to our children music program.

THANK YOU to our P&C President (Malvina Crastin), School Executives and teachers who volunteered their time to assist in our music excursions.

THANK YOU to our event coordinator, Nadia Gajic for organising the music camp

THANK YOU to all parent volunteer that have dedicated their personal time to assist in Band Committee, Band Coordinator and any other form in assisting our school music program.

Finally, we would like to wish every family a safe and fun holiday. Hope everyone will get recharge and ready for another fun full of Term 4.

Parent Volunteers Needed!!

As you may know, ALL of the administration of the Band Program (and Strings) is completed entirely by parent volunteers.  Currently we have two openings of new parent volunteers to fill empty roles. Volunteering to help out with band is a great way to connect with the school community, gain a better understanding of the music & band program and most importantly your child will be thrilled that you are involved with something they are involved in.

• Tutor Coordinator Assistant

Liaises between the school, parents, tutors and music directors (Band & Strings) in relation to tutorials, coordinates lesson timetables & reports, communicates tutorial information to parents, updates / email tutors as required.

• Instrument Coordinator Assistant

Assists Instrument Coordinators with issuing instruments, organising repairs, updating and maintaining instrument register and annual instrument checks.

Band Supervision: Call for Parent Volunteers for Morning Rehearsals

As soon as term 4 begin, we would like to invite parents to assist and supervise band rehearsals from 07:50am to 08:50am morning. This is also a great opportunity to watch your child and their band practice.

Regular Band Rehearsal Times:

For rehearsals before school, students should arrive at school promptly at 7.50 am so that the rehearsal can start by 8:00 am.
