Last week, Kindergarten participated in an Aboriginal Culture Incursion as part of our focus on cultural perspectives in English. We had a great day taking part in different activities such as Aboriginal artifacts, ochre painting, boomerang throwing, Aboriginal art and bush tucker touch and feel. The students loved being about to ask the Aboriginal Elders questions about the lives of their people and learning about how they used the land to live- but most of all, they loved seeing who could throw the boomerang the furthest!
