Last week APS attended the Zone swimming carnival at Land Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre. The students participated in a variety of different events across the day and represented Artarmon Public School by doing their best! These students should be very proud of themselves for the swimming ability, behaviour and sportsmanship they displayed throughout!

On Friday of Week 6 and 7 a group of Stage 3 students participated in the PSSA OZ Tag Gala Day at Blackmans Park in Lane Cove. Students have been practising their skills during Friday morning sports training at Artarmon Reserve and had the chance to play lots of games against other schools. Both days were a huge success and lots of fun, with everyone trying their best and improving each game. Well done to Artarmon Boys Team 1 who won their Grand Final against Willoughby Public! A big thank you to Ms Carmichael for all the organisation she put into ensuring the days ran smoothly.

SKELLERN CUP

On Wednesday 6^th of March, a group of Year 3 and 4 girls attend the Skellern Cup which is an inter-school soccer event that aims to promote girls' involvement in sports. The girls had lots of fun playing soccer matches against other schools and improved their soccer skills throughout the day. All the girls played their best and showed lots of teamwork and encouraged each other along throughout the day. Thank you to the parents who helped out by driving the girls on the day, we could not have done it without you!
