Who is an influential woman you know, and how did she inspire you?

Rosa Parks: By combating racism and standing up for cultural equality, she is a well-known figure all around the world. She has combatted her way through segregation and has inspired me to stand up for what is right. - Weihan Huang 6MK

Emmeline Pankhurst : She stood up to give women the right to vote. She inspires me to fight for women equality. She had a strong will and determination to fix the stereotypes against women. Why do you think it’s important to celebrate International Women’s Day?

Because women's rights are important not only for women to vote, but in everyday life, as it took many generations for women to fight and receive the same rights as men. Many men have been celebrated their whole life and given different opportunities, women should too. - Isabella Wu 6IW

Compared to the past equality is amazing. However, there are still countries that haven’t improved as much, as many women still don't have equal rights and are treated horribly.
