Students in 5LB and 5RH visited the Concourse last week to attend the Sydney Writer's Festival. They listened to a range of author talks and learned many aspects about being a writer. Nova Weetman talked to students about the process of creating and building character profiles. Kate and Jol Temple discussed the importance of research when writing any book fiction or non-fiction. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions of the authors to learn more about the process of writing.

The highlight of the event was the 'bin chicken' race, where inflatable 'bin chickens' were pitted against each other in a race from one end of the theatre and back to the stage, propelled only by the hands of the audience. Lots of laughs and fun for all!
