PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Our school is the heartbeat of the Artarmon community
Our school has always had tremendous support for school programs and community events organised by the P&C. Each year the P&C fundraising committee is traditionally run by parents of children in Year 3. This is a great opportunity for parents to get involved in the school community, volunteer a little time to support the school, meet new parents and have a lot of fun in the process. Having this system also allows the load to be shared and keep ideas fresh and build community spirit.
We understand that we live very busy lives balancing home and work committments. Giving a little time to be involved with community events shows your children how much you value the importance of our school. The fundraising team is looking for parents to give a little time to help out with getting the movie night underway -
It is a great way to be part of a fabulous team and have fun and a few laughs!
If you are a Year 3 parent and have received some of the notifications sent via the Schoolzine app, please click on the link and see if you have some spare time to help volunteer.
Staffing changes
Miss Elise Attard has been successful in gaining a relieving Assistant Principal position for the remainder of the year at Seven Hills North PS. We wish Miss Attard all the best with her new role. Mrs Stephanie Sun will be taking 6EA for the remainder of the year and Ms Bridget Slater will be working in the library with Mrs Ros Cartland.
Congratulations to Sean Suzuki
Last week Sean Suzuki of Year 6 played as a team member in the Sydney North PSSA soccer team at the State Championships.
The boys played extremely well with excellent sportsmanship throughout the cold challenging conditions in Bathurst. They did themselves, their families, schools and Sydney North proud!
In addition to winning the competition 7 of the 14 boys (including our very own Sean) were selected to represent NSW PSSA at the National School Sport boys Football Championships later in the year.
Congratulations Sean on a great result! We wish you all the best in the next level of competition. Artarmon students and community are very proud of you!
