Student Wellbeing
We’re excited to be hosting URSTRONG, an internationally recognized Social Emotional Wellbeing program, that empowers children with the skills, language and self-confidence to be better friends and develop healthier relationships. To learn more about URSTRONG I would encourage you to visits their web site (www.urstrong.com) where they have a number of free resources for parents.
Over the past year, our school has been focusing on social-emotional learning programs, implementing tools and strategies to support our efforts in creating a safe and caring school. We believe that empowering our students with these skills will create a school community where children are better able to manage their relationships in a safe and respectful environment. As part of this focus the school executive will be presenting information on the 26th of June at 6.30pm in the school library around our school wellbeing procedures. All parents are welcome to attend and then stay for P@C.
We also invite all students from Years 1 & 2 and their parents and Kindergarten (parents only), to come along on the 7th of August at 6.30pm, for a URSTRONG Language of Friendship Junior Parent-Child Workshop. And we invite all students from Years 3 to 6 and their parents to join us at 6.30pm on the 14th of August, for a URSTRONG Language of Friendship Parent-Child Workshop. The cost of the first 100 tickets for each event are being generously subsidised by the Artarmon Public School P&C! Please see attached flyers for details.

Teacher Professional Learning
Teachers from Artarmon have been selected to have their work published as part of a Department of Education project. The teachers worked on integrating learning from English, Maths, Science & other learning areas to engage students in transferring their skills to real word contexts.
Soccer Star!
Congratulations to Milly Bennett who has been selected to represent NSW in the National PSSA football (soccer) competition later this year.
This is a huge achievement as Milly is the youngest player selected and the only member from Year 5. We look forward to watching Milly captain the side in years to come.
Good luck Milly. Great work!
