Today was a day full of excitement and walking at THE ROCKS . I was very surprised at the history and crimes of convicts, from stealing  a goblet from a widow, to even stealing a horse. Surprisingly, all these crimes can actually sentence you to death! And when I was dressed as Mary Bryant, I felt like a convict, escaping from the depression of the cramped FIRST FLEET. 
 
When I learnt that Mary was the only survivor of the escapees and that she died of a broken heart as she lost her family, I couldn’t feel more blue for her. ? 
 
One of the lessons I learnt from this wonderful excursion today is- NEVER GIVE UP, even though Mary had experienced so many devastating losses, she still sailed all the way from Australia to England, no matter what difficulties rose in front of her. And she was only one of the 750 people. She  taught me to be resilient. 
 
What a fun and educational day! And oh! Were the roles fun. 
It was a day I would remember for the rest of my  crazy life.
