On Wednesday the 18th September, Year 6 put on a show, 'A Remoonion Episode of Countdown', a popular TV show back in the stone age. The focus of the entire performance was to celebrate 50 years of the Apollo Moon Landing, featuring guest star: Molly Meldrum. One person from each group (there were 7 groups and the Year Six Senior Band), took turns playing Molly, passing on a brown, old-fashioned cowboy hat.

The night commenced with the Captains, Grace Harding and Isaac Hameed, and Mr Coombes welcoming the first Molly Meldrum to the Hall. After that, the rest of the groups performed: Mrs Steed’s , Mrs Italiano’s, Miss Correia’s, Mrs Sun’s, Miss Danias’, Mr Thompson’s and Mr Maxwell’s individual performance respectively. The Band played in between set ups.

All the performances were a great success, with the entire grade participating on the night. Whether you were on stage, in the band, you helped write the script or you were in charge of the light show/technology on the night, everyone made a positive impact on the overall performance.

At the end, the entire year (including Band) came on stage and sang a song; this year the song was ’Unwritten’ by Natasha Bedingfield. 

At the end of the night though, everyone had that same feeling of relief and happiness. The night was a success and the entire 9 weeks before-hand of practise was worthwhile. Overall, it was a great ending to a great performance.
