Soccer Skellern Cup

When Miss Veenstra told us we had to be at school by 8am, were weren't impressed but getting up early for the fun day we had at Skellern Cup was definitely worth it. The day was filled with laughter, cheering and lots of goals. There were prizes won, signatures signed and sausage sandwiches eaten.
Our team ended up coming second out of 57 teams and we also had the highest overall point score. Even though we didn't win and there were a few sad faces the day was still a great success.
We learnt that you don't have to be a professional soccer player to have fun at the Skellern Cup.

Skellern Cup 2019 Year 3 and 4
On the 25th of September, Year 3 and 4 participated in the Girls Skellern Cup Football Tournament. We had never played together before but demonstrated our eagerness to give our best to the team and represent Artarmon Public School. We played 4 games in total and won 3 and drew for one of them. For a team that never played together before and with some of us never even played soccer before, we played extremely well and got to experience teamwork and the spirit of the game. Overall, we didn't win the cup but we still had an amazing time. We can't for next year!
