Late Pick-Up of Children

It has come to our attention that some students are regularly being picked up late from school. Please remember that Artarmon Public School hours are from 8:55 am to 2:55 pm.  As employees of the NSW Department of Education, teachers have a duty of care.  A duty of care is the legal obligation to provide reasonable care which includes the provision of adequate supervision of students.

If parents are not present at pick up times, students will be sent to the school office for collection. Whilst we are aware that situations do arise occasionally where late pick-ups are unavoidable, we strongly encourage all parents and carers to arrive on time to collect their child at 2:55 pm.

If you cannot collect your child at 2:55 pm, before and after-school care is available for Artarmon Public School students. It is located within the school grounds or at nearby locations. Children play with friends and take part in a variety of supervised activities. Fees are charged. For information on the before and after school providers please visit the school office.
