PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

SCHOOL NEWS

I will be taking Leave (exploring regional NSW) from next week. I will be back on deck first day next term.

Mr Coombes will be Relieving Principal and Ms Miller will be Relieving Deputy Principal working alongside Mrs Page (Deputy Principal) during that 3 weeks.

SCHOOL COMMUNICATION

We have spoken before about playground gossip. There are always avenues open to our community to discuss their concerns. If you feel uncomfortable talking to one person there are always others to support you.

Schoolyard gossip, whether on the plaground or through social media, does not always tell the whole story. If you have questions or concerns please talk to teachers, executive, email the school or contact us through the Schoolzine App.

We all play a part

Parents and carers play an important role in the school community. The School Community Charter informs parents and carers on how to engage with NSW public schools. Read the School Community Charter (PDF 1.4 MB) to ensure you understand how important it is to create a positive learning environment for our students.

KINDERGARTEN ENROLMENT 2021

Due to Covid restrictions the Kindergarten enrolments for next year are very slow. This has a huge impact on how we form classes next year.

If you know anyone who is applying for Kindergarten next year please encourage them to contact the school office as soon as possible.

I have attached the 100 point check for proof of address.

3/4KA

Students in 3/4KA have been learning about the environment in Geography. After conducting a school rubbish survey and discussing the potential effects on local waterways, 5 students were inspired to start making the school community more aware of the rubbish issue. Pure, Eric, Anas, Alicia and Jessie created posters in their own time and have placed them around the school to remind students of the impact rubbish can have on our local environment. I look forward to these students brainstorming more ideas to help our school community.

COUNCIL VOUCHER PROGRAM

FEEDBACK, COMPLAINTS & COMPLIMENTS

If you want to provide feedback, make a complaint, or tell us something we've done well, we'd like to know.

We try to resolve complaints promptly at a local level which is why it is important to start at that level. Please start by talking to the teacher, Assistant Principal or school Principal.

It is important to make an appointment to discuss your concerns as the people you wish to speak to may not always be available or have all the information needed ready.

The Department of Education will always advise you to begin at the school level, should you have any issues or concerns, however, if you wish to take your issue further the Department is there to support you.

Thank you to all our wonderful families who regularly send messages of thanks and support to the school. They are much appreciated and make a world of difference to us.
