Dear String parents

The ensemble auditions will be held in Week 9 of Term 4. It will be important that students maintain their practice sessions and sight reading. I hope the practice routine helped out in last week’s newsletter. As all music teachers say, “consistency is the most important step to enjoying successful practice. The truth is the practice is best done and easiest when done consistently. The more we practice, the more we are inspired to practice.”

Having a hard time with consistency? Play just after waking or right before bed time. When it becomes routine, it’s harder to leave out of your day and it’ll actually get done. I know that my son will happily opt out of washing dinner dishes and practice violin instead.

Audition information notes will be sent out by the following strings coordinators in the following days. Please print out notes and music and read with your child.

Also a parent volunteer is needed to assist the current Strings Instrument Coordinator and take over this role. This amazing program runs with parent volunteers, so many thanks for the parents that have helped out so far.
